Anders and Isabela were on their way back to the Hanged Man after they had found the goods of Isabela's friend Martin. They actually didn't talk much all the time; both lost in their thoughts. Anders couldn't stop thinking of Hawke and what happened to her; to see her suffer and screaming out in pain. To see her slipping out of his grasps while he just could watch as she gave up. Fenris went through the dusty streets which were full of people who bought a little bit to eat for them and their families with the little money they had. He saw refugees, children but also bandits and smugglers who waited for the night when the streets emptied so they can robber the helpless people on the streets who haven't enough for themselves anyway.

He stopped in front of Hawke's home and breathed in the warm and clean air and enjoyed the sun on his skin. His thoughts were full of images of the day before when he and Hawke were sitting on the hill, leaning on the pasture in silence. The wind stroked her brunette, nearly dark blond hair
